Dog Training Guy

I have a quick dog training tip to add to the above post you made:

Never punish or scold your dog under training. A punishment will put in negative feelings into your dog. Try to praise him for a good behavior instead.

You can, however, penalize your dog. Make note that "Penalize" does not mean "punish" here. A "penalty" can be anything that your dog does not like. It may be a leash jerk, not moving when he's on leash so there's no walk or just ignoring him. This would make him feel guilty and behave properly.

All in all, dog's are pack animals and you've got to be the leader of that pack. You communicate that through your actions, not words.
